Job Description Westat seeks an experienced Warehouse Clerk to support our field interviewers and respondents on a national health study. The successful candidate will be an energetic, self-motivated professional who is dependable, pays great attention to detail, is available to work 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), and is deadline-driven. This position is on-site at our Gaithersburg, MD, location.Duties/Responsibilities

• Labeling, picking, and packing study material for distribution and shipping using FedEx, including tracking and sharing information with recipients.
• Lifting and carrying heavy materials
• Standing and sitting while sorting materials for extended periods.Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must work well both independently and as a member of a team in a professional environment.
  • Must be available to work full-time, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, 40 hours per week.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations:
    • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. of study materials.
    • Must be able to follow instructions for packing and unpacking supplies.Preferred Qualifications
      • Previous Westat experience is a plus.
      • Previous packing/shipping experience in a warehouse environment.These assignments are temporary hourly positions.
