The Core System Analyst (CSA) assists the Core Team of the Information Technology Department in the maintenance and support of Core-based systems, which consist of the core processing system (the Core), ancillary interfaces, third-party products and services, supporting hardware infrastructure, and related peripheral devices. The primary responsibility of the CSA is to facilitate the day-to-day operations and assist in the administration of Core-based systems. In addition, the CSA supports the activities of the IT Department and Support Desk, providing Level 1-2 support for internal users and facilitates reporting using available software tools.Major Duties & Responsibilities:Facilitates the day-to-day operations of the Credit Union's Core-based systems, monitoring these systems and ensuring that they are running effectively.The CSA Supports the activities of the Support Desk, providing Level 1-2 application support of all Core-based systems, escalating as appropriate, and resolving tickets in a timely manner to meet Service Level objectives.Assists the Core Team with administration of Core-based systems, executing regularly scheduled tasks, monitoring their execution, and troubleshooting errors.Performs daily monitoring of job scheduling system in order to ensure successful completion of routine scheduled tasks. Assists in the routine administration of databases and ensures database performance and capacity issues are addressed.Provides maintenance and support of the electronic document management (EDM) system, ensuring that processes are in place for the proper storage and retrieval of archived documents.The Core system analyst assists in the development and maintenance of custom reports and forms using available software tools.Monitors and tests data backups to ensure Credit Union systems adhere to the Data Retention Policy.Assists with maintenance and testing of the Credit Union's Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan.Coordinates with vendors on the upgrade and maintenance of supported systems, including but not limited to, database and application patches, version upgrades, configurations, test environments, operating systems and conversions.Serves as a member of the Disaster Recovery Team. Duties include revising contingency plans, preparation and maintenance of the hot site, facilitation of all tests, as well as other related business continuity tasks. Updates and maintains procedures for supported application systems.The incumbent is required to work either on site or remotely outside of normal work hours to meet processing schedules and to execute maintenance and upgrades of mission critical systems and hardware. Considered to be on call 24 X 7..

Requirements:
Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree preferred or minimum of one years' IT experience in production environment.Experience in Banking Core platform, such as Corelation Keystone, Fiserv Spectrum, Fiserv DNA, or Symitar is strongly preferred.Experience with database administration, such as SQL Server and ORACLE.Experience with report writing tools, such as Jaspersoft and SQL.Strong proficiency with Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, Access.Knowledge on Veritas NetBackup is a plus.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational & communication skills and be a team player.Strong hardware and software knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems.Knowledge of data processing procedures and familiarity with financial institution operations.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
