Job Description BAE Systems is seeking an experienced lead
systems engineer to join our Integrated Defense Solutions team in
an exciting program supporting the U.S. Navy's next generation of
strategic deterrent and integrated combat systems. Serving as one
of our lead System Engineers, you will lead multi-disciplinary
teams of engineers in developing and implementing a well-planned
systems engineering approach to requirements definition,
architecture and interface definition, system integration,
verification, and test for current and future large-scale missile
systems. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team

throughout the systems lifecycle.As Lead Systems Engineer, you will
perform the functions of a technical expert in support of advanced
programs under the direction and in collaboration with Engineering
and Program Management leadership. In this role, you will provide
engineering and scientific leadership in performing technical
analysis, trade studies, research, development, and test and
evaluation to lead system definition and realization activities,
resolve issues, and make recommendations regarding enhanced
capabilities. Under your technical leadership, a large team of
engineers and scientist (100+) will utilize digital engineering and
model-based systems engineering to perform operational concept
development, feasibility studies, design, development and
evaluation of hardware and software for new designs, modifications,
and upgrades of Naval weapon systems and system of systems.The
primary objective for this role is to provide sound engineering
principles and disciplined guidance to ensure successful execution
of technical plans and goals while communicating effectively with
internal and external colleagues, management, and mid/senior-level
customer representatives concerning operational and design
decisions, technical risk identification and mitigation, definition
and achievement of requirements, and overall end-to-end systems
engineering process definition and oversight that results in
successful definition and realization of large-scale
systems.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Typical education
and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelor of
Science in Engineering or related field and minimum of 10 years of
related, proven experience successfully leading system engineering
activities; or a Master of Science in Engineering or related field
and minimum of 8 years of related experience.Additional
skills/experience required:
- Demonstrated ability to successfully achieve assigned tasks
regarding complex systems engineering.
- Experience conducting science and technology research,
analysis, trade studies, integration, and test of complex
systems.
- Skills in analysis, critical thinking and technical problem
solving.
- Demonstrated verbal, written and presentation skills.Preferred
Education, Experience, & Skills
- INCOSE ASEP, CSEP, or equivalent certification
- Experience in digital engineering and models based systems
engineering principles and tools
- Experience with strategic deterrence and/or missile defense
systems and missionsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $140690
- $239140Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
