Job Description:

We are supporting a Senior Director in the Quality Assurance space, who is looking for a talented, Quality Assurance Lead.

Our client is tasked with providing strategic quality assurance for their digital workspace, the area of the company that sets up their laptops with the necessary software on it (Windows/MAC). This role will be heavily around building the QA strategic vision for desktop engineering. This role will not be centered around testing web applications more like Windows applications and patches to existing desktop applications.

The ideal candidate will come from a computer science background and will be expected to have some coding/programming knowledge which will be necessary for the automation to come. Our client is more or less language agnostic here (Java, Python, C# will all work). Experience with Bash/Shell scripting is also a must have on the top of a strong quality assurance mindset.

Must-Haves:

• 6+ years of QA experience
• Experience with programming (Java or Python)
• Strong experience with Shell/Bash scripting
• Strong quality assurance mindset
• Ability to apply strategic QA to a new area
• Knowledge of Windows applications
• Any experience with desktop automation
• Performance testing experience
• Knowledge of Windows and MAC operation systems
  Nice-to-Haves:
  • Knowledge of MAC applications, desktop operations
  • Prior help desk/desktop support experience
  • Experience in big data environments
  • AWS knowledge/experience
