SUMMARYInterfaith Works (IW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides
emergency shelter, supportive housing, essential needs and
employment programs to over 35,000 residents of Montgomery County,
MD each year.Interfaith Works is seeking candidates for the
position of Special Projects Coordinator, for a full-time position
in a hybrid work environment in Rockville, Maryland. This position
reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for the
planning, implementation and monitoring of various projects and
processes related to and in support of the objectives of the
Operations Department and the work of the organization.ESSENTIAL
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participant in project design meetings and propose improvements
if necessary.
- Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop
solutions.
- Plan and manage team goals, project schedules and new
information.
- Supervise current projects and coordinate with all team members
to keep workflow on track.
- Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary
materials are current, properly filed and stored.
- Direct project correspondences by preparing and reviewing
project proposals, memos, meeting minutes and emails.
- Communicate with clients to identify and define project
requirements, scope and objectives.
- Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing
cost-saving measures.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,
ABILITIES)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of
maintaining strong relationships.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Documentation management and ability to use project management
tools.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related
software.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent work experience
- At least three years of experience in business administration
