Head of Competitive Intelligence, Global Vaccines Commercial (Director) Are you innately motivated by competition, a deeply curious learner and passionate problem solver? The Vaccines Competitive Intelligence (CI) team ensures that GSK Vaccines can skillfully navigate market and competitive dynamics to accelerate delivery of impactful vaccines for patients. CI is fundamental to shaping GSK's industry-leading vaccines portfolio and robust pipeline by ensuring global commercial strategies are developed with context of the competitive environment and industry trends. The team drives GSK's competitive edge and future-proof strategy by providing deep expertise on competitor products and strategies, market trends and opportunities. As the Head of CI, you will lead a team of 6 direct reports in identifying business-critical competitor insights and incorporating these into GSK commercial strategies and forecasts. You will ensure the development and implementation of industry-leading capabilities and methodologies that enable the team to deliver insightful analysis and recommendations to asset teams and the Vaccines Leadership Team. The CI team contributes to assessment of emerging market opportunities, competitive target vaccine profiles, clinical trial strategy, brand positioning, lifecycle management (LCM), and financial forecast assumptions. In this role, you will closely partner with global Vaccine Commercial teams, Vaccine Development teams, Early Commercial, Customer Insights, Investor Relations, Business Development, R&D, and key LOCs. You will act as a thought partner to the Head of Commercial Operations, Head of Strategic Insights, and Commercial VPs and ensure the Vaccines Leadership Team is well informed of the competitive environment and implications for GSK. Finally, you will contribute to building a strong internal CI community of practice spanning therapeutic areas in support of establishing best-in-class approaches for One GSK. Key Responsibilities: Amplify CI's impact on the commercial organization by maintaining laser focus on GSK priorities, implementing industry leading practices, and rapidly sharing streamlined analysis and insights. Lead a team of 6 direct reports (CI Leads), support talent development, and cultivate an inclusive team culture that is ambitious for patients, accountable for impact, and does the right thing. Closely monitor and rapidly report on competitor events (e.g., earnings calls, investor days, conferences), communications, and vaccine development. Thoughtfully interpret complex and often incomplete information, objectively assess implications, and share important insights with senior leadership. Use CI analysis and insights to shape the development focus, launch plans, and LCM strategy of priority commercial vaccines. Collaborate with Early Commercial and Business Development teams to ensure our pipeline is focused on products, markets, and platforms where GSK can achieve maximum impact. Develop and deliver GSK-wide quarterly CI presentations (CI Broadcasts) to build internal awareness of the vaccines market and competitive edge. Lead internal competitive workshops, comprehensive landscape analyses and strategic projects to support Vaccine Commercial Teams, Vaccine Development Teams and build internal expertise. Continuously seek opportunities to strengthen and streamline our work and simplify deliverables. Contribute to and leverage the GSK CI community of practice. Manage CI budget and CI support, including all resource contracts, consultuncy support, and an external team that directly supports CI. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Business, Economics, Finance 10+ years of experience in the vaccines or pharmaceuticals industry, across marketing, commercial, R&D, medical, market access, and/or strategy functions Team leadership and people management experience across multiple geographies Proven experience in providing insightful and actionable competitive insights Strong understanding of vaccine development and commercialization (preclinical to market) Knowledge of CI sources and methodologies to aggregate, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data Experience working in matrix environment with ability to build strong relationships and drive impact across a range of functions, levels (to SVPs and Commercial Executive Team), and geographies End-to-end project management Budget and external vendor (agency/consulting) management Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Master's or PhD in Business (MBA), Life Science, Strategy, Marketing, Economics Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to clearly and concisely convey complex information Why GSK?
