Job Description:
The Diversity & Inclusion Workforce Specialist is responsible
for co-designing, delivering, and coordinating sustainable learning
solutions and programs to support the continuous development of
workforce cultural awareness and competence. Acts as project
manager and consultant for Employee Resource Groups and the
Diversity Council. Manages and updates the regional Affirmative
Action Plan. Essential Responsibilities: Culturally Competent
Workforce: Partners with Leadership and Workforce D&I
Consultant to develop and execute Diversity & Inclusion learning
solutions. Serves as project manager and logistics coordinator for
all Diversity & Inclusion learning solutions. Tracks metrics for
learning solutions, maintains monthly reports. Researches best
practices for Diversity & Inclusion learning. Researches external
training programs and products for internal use. Manages
relationships with diversity-focused learning and development
vendors. Serves as project manager for coordinating all Diversity &
Inclusion learning solutions. Employee Resource Groups. Serves as
liaison to Employee Resource Groups. Consults to Employee Resource
Groups on business plan development, processes, budget. Manages
logistics for Employee Resource Groups. Develops learning
opportunities to enhance Employee Resource Groups' knowledge about
KPMAS strategy and Diversity & Inclusion topics. Serves as bridge
between ERGs and Community Benefit, Government Relations, and
Marketing Communications. Diversity Council. Manages logistics for
Diversity Council meetings. Maintains Diversity Council documents.
Facilitates Diversity Council meetings. Affirmative Action: Manages
and updates the Affirmative Action Plan to ensure consistent and
timely reporting. Reviews available data; analyzes workforce
utilization statistics, and establishes goals and timetables.
Communicates goals to appropriate managers and staff. Conducts AA
audits; analyzes progress toward affirmative action goals and
report results. Diversity & Inclusion Department Support: Manages
department website and ensures information is updated and relevant.
Facilitates Diversity & Inclusion learning solutions. Collaborates
with all Diversity & Inclusion colleagues to execute programs and
initiatives. Enters member demographic data into KPHC. Responds to
RFPs. Basic Qualifications: Experience Minimum three (3) years of
experience working with Diversity & Inclusion concepts and
programs. Minimum three (3) years of project management experience
in a complex environment. Minimum three (3) years of training and
facilitation experience.Education Bachelor's degree required, OR
four (4) years of experience in a directly related field. High
School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
required.License, Certification, Registration N/A Additional
Requirements: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a complex organization with a
diverse workforce. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum three (3) years of experience in
a healthcare environment preferred. Minimum three (3) years of
experience with diversity councils preferred. Minimum three (3)
years of experience managing Employee Resource Groups preferred.
Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred. Fluent in
more than one language preferred. Knowledge of adult learning
theory, instructional design techniques, customer service, and
process improvement concepts preferred. Bachelor's degree in
business administration, HR, OD, communications preferred.
