Together, we serve approximately 800,000 Kaiser Permanente members in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia at 34 area medical centers, plus several community hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.Job Summary:MAPMG is seeking a Communication Coordinator to join the Health Engagement and Promotion team. The Communication Coordinator supports Health Engagement's efforts to provide health education programs and products to the delivery system for patient care. This position may temporarily begin 100% remote and will eventually be based in our Rockville, Maryland regional office with the ability to work remotely a few days a week.Responsibilities:

  • Track initiatives and projects related to Health Engagement efforts and prepare communication regarding progress
  • Coordinate logistics for projects, member classes and other member-facing events
  • Develop, track, maintain and present reports and data associated with assigned projects
  • Maintain inventory of all health education content and other internal databases
  • Coordinate and support Health Engagement communication activities
  • Facilitate material preparations for meetings, specifically in PowerPoint and other Microsoft products
  • Collaborate with clinical, technical, analytical, and operational experts to implement and document health education programs
  • Practice and promote innovative practices within company ethical and legal guidelines using established policies and procedures
  • Assist the Senior Director in executing workplan and ensure the timely completion of deliverables
  • Serve as department liaison to the printing vendor on inventory of health education products and provide customer support to health care teams for health education resources
  • Use excellent customer service skills to work through issues raised by the key stakeholders of the assigned projects Assist in resolving concerns as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in health-related field is required
    • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of clinical and health care operations experience is required
    • Minimum of two (2) years of project support or coordination experience is required
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills required
    • Excellent proof-reading skills and the ability to quickly check documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
    • Experience with program evaluation using quantitative and qualitative metrics preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external management
    • Knowledge and/or exposure to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred
    • Excellent computer skills required (Microsoft Office suite). Embraces new technology and software
    • Excellent independent judgment and decision-making skills, consistently demonstrating tact and diplomacy
