The Team

The product development team is responsible for the development of Nasdaq IR Insight, our multi-faceted platform built specifically for Investor Relations Teams, along with Nasdaq Online (NOL), a tool used by Nasdaq listed companies to help manage their shareholder base.

Your responsibilities:

In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams across the globe on your own or together with a Senior Product Developer. You will have the opportunity to deliver innovative corporate solutions to an international client base. To be successful in this role, you need to have a flexible mindset and an ability to adapt when pre-requisites are changing. Structure and close attention to detail will be important in this role, along with being comfortable liaising with individual contributors and stakeholders, outside vendors, and external clients, while also focusing on strong team collaboration.

Your typical day may consist of the following functions:

Technical Writing:

  • Document features and guidelines for non-technical audience, internal support teams, and clients to ensure understanding of product.
  • Development of product release assets for internal support teams and clients
  • Product documentation: internal support guides, workflow diagrams, user story support for product delivery leads
  • Articulate and document complex user needs into development requirements for technology teams

Product related analyses:

  • Conduct independent investigations of product features and logic
  • Identify root problems and assist development teams in identifying priorities; discuss product nuances with service and account teams to help identify client pain points and appropriate solutions
  • IR Insight/Nasdaq Online feature enablement/usage trends
  • User journey analysis within and across browser and app
  • Product feature request trend analysis and convert priorities into product requirements
  • Product usage and defect reporting and tracking of resolutions
  • Competitive feature investigation and analysis
  • Other excel based analysis as needed

Product Release management:

  • Product Roadmap creation, tracking and management
  • Assist in the publication of product roadmap to internal client facing teams, while assisting in tracking changes to roadmap over time for ongoing communication with the Client Success teams
  • Support for product delivery leads: preparation of product test documentation for client facing teams, documentation of findings, tracking of follow up activities
  • Release stats: client requests addressed, bugs, client impact, saves/cancels

Internal stakeholder support:

  • Gather and process feedback from internal support teams
  • Coordination of follow up actions related to clients identified as at risk
  • Definition of product feature requirements
  • Maintenance of master file of user research questions/topics
  • Tracking of stories, defects, issues, queries & analysis via JIRA or other product management tracking tool

Administrative:

  • Management and understanding of a Client Enhancement request queue for product feature deliverablesfrom analysis of cases logged vis feedback from clients and front-line service teams via IR Insight and NOL product stakeholders.
  • Engagement with client facing team members to ensure successful adoption of client product requests and to provide regular status updates during the development process
  • Prioritize and provide timely feedback for all client product inquiries.

You will need the following skills and experience

  • Strong communication and presentation skills; willing to communicate via any number of mediums, from Slack to in-person, verbally and in writing
  • Strong Excel andPowerPoint skills
  • Desire to take initiative, work independently and across technical/internal and service teams
  • Ability to engage and collaborate closely with external clients, vendors/suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, demonstrated in ability to identify root problems when present with a set of circumstances, along with ability to aggregate and track data in search oftrends and flags
  • Ability to own end-to-end processes and prioritize within
  • Willing to use new technologies and learn new processes
  • A strong inner drive and motivation, thriving in a high pace environment
  • Ability to learn quickly, dive in and become familiar with product features and functionality, and to anticipate questions
  • Interest in competitive analysis

And it would be great if you have experience with

  • Experience with an online product in a product analyst, manager, client services, or similar capacity
  • Technical writing or database skills
  • Knowledge of product management tools such as Trello, Confluence, Zeplin
  • Working knowledge of JIRA or equivalent product management tracking tool
  • Experience from both agile and traditional Waterfall project methodology
  • Interest and/or experience from working in the FinTech/Financial Services industry
  • Experience in managing agile projects

  • Education Required:  Degree qualified in Computer Science, Business/Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.  Is working towards or has graduated with a post graduate degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience Required:  At least 8 years
