Position: Product OwnerLocation: Rockville, MDDuration: 12
Months
Description:
The Product Owner is responsible for attending all Program Team
events, Sprint Planning and Sprint Demo for the Delivery Team they
work with.-- Collaborates with the leadership team to establish
product vision and roadmap and identify new markets and customers--
Collaborates with the Analysts and Solution Architect to
continually mature the backlog, focusing on profitability of the
product (ROI)-- Prioritizes the backlog for their designated
Delivery Team-- Defines acceptance criteria for User Stories--
Works with others to remove delivery roadblocks-- Works directly
with the delivery team to set clear expectations and to accept or
reject deliverables-- Works with other Product Owners to prioritize
feature and stories with external dependencies
The person in this role:
Represents the interests of all stakeholders, sponsors, and
potential customers. The Product Owner is responsible for
communicating the feature and story requirements and collaborating
closely with the team during planning and review ceremonies. The
Product Owner leads the Delivery Team in creating and prioritizing
the team Backlog, provides clarification and feedback to the team,
and accepts or rejects work results. The Product Owner works
closely with the Analysts to define stories and acceptance
criteria. They review refined stories prior to Sprint Planning to
ensure the intent of the story is well understood and will accept
the stories before or during the Sprint Review.
Minimum Requirements:-- 5+ years of relevant professional
experience in product management-- Experience in crafting key
product management artifacts including writing detailed PRDs; user
stories; Agile product development methodology; gathering and
prioritizing stakeholder requirements-- Provide stakeholder
management skills including the ability to discover the true
requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative
technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to
meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions-- Deep
understanding of the agile processes and ability to influence and
implement agile improvements working with teams-- Ability to
conduct user experience research, gather customer feedback &
rapidly make iterations as per the feedback -- Proficiency in
conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques-- Excellent
presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills
-- Strong collaborator and team player
Preferred Qualifications:-- Background and experience in the
fintech and/or regulatory industry -- Familiarity with big data
technologies, relational databases and data products generally
Technical Skills:
