Job Description:

Systems Engineer The System Engineer is responsible for the implementation and support of Windows and Linux Server-based operating systems, applications, and hardware in a fast-paced, 7x24x365 healthcare setting. This role is responsible for specifications, design, engineering, configuration, testing, and implementation of server systems hardware, operating systems, related subsystems, and application components running on multiple platforms. Responsibilities Data Center Systems Engineering Operational Activities ndash 80 Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting Servers Servings as a technical expert in situations where customers seek server platform and Active Directory guidance Maintain documentation on design, data mapping, configuration, and settings to facilitate proper system operation and administration Partner with other IT functional teams to support operational issues and requests Assist in the management of Active Directory, Domain Name Resolution, Certificates, Distributed File System (DFS), File Services, IIS, MS SQL, and Windows Application server roles Ensure proper software and firmware patch levels on servers using Microsoft SCCM Troubleshooting issues with enterprise email and collaboration services (Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Skype for Business) Provide administration and support on over 150 SQL Server instances in multiple data centers Sound knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database concepts Writing and stored procedurestriggers, and working with views, database design, database management, and knowledge of SQL Server Task Scheduling and Alert Management Interface Supporting issues related to group mailboxes and distribution lists Documenting incident resolutions and providing updates End-to-end management of client Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution (Microsoft InTune) Good working knowledge of PowerShell Project Management ndash 20 Work with solutions architects to create and maintain project artifacts including project scope, charters, work breakdown structure, timelines, cost estimates, and status reports Troubleshoot issues during project go-live and operationally, as required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Working knowledge with manipulation and analysis of statistical data from computerized information systems Sound knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database concepts Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving and analytical skills Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of the organization The ability to lift up to 75 pounds This position requires on-call availability and off-hours work for deployments and implementations Periodic travel to client site is required. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience and Current industry certification required. (Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) or Engineer (MCSE)) 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server to administer health related applications and configuring and supporting the OS. In-depth experience with administering Microsoft SQL Server In-depth knowledge and experience with Active Directory objects, GPO mapping and administration, and OU structures In-depth experience with managing Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 services Understanding of Enterprise Data Center Design, Infrastructure, and technologies
