This position will evolve and effectively communicate the Ascend
Collection Value Proposition to guests, owners, and operators. The
successful candidate will partner with operations to support
owner/operator engagement to drive hotel performance, collaborate
with marketing and distribution to grow top line revenue and work
with development to attract new investment to the collection. The
leader is charged with leveraging Choice Hotels matrixed,
organizational resources to grow the portfolio and drive brand
performance, establishing, and executing the brand strategy.

What you will do…
Responsible for brand programs development and implementation
including communications cascade with Choice communications
Craft compelling business cases for consistent delivery of brand
initiatives in partnership with Operations.
Measure and manage brand initiatives for success.
Design and execute an annual ASCEND Brand plan in alignment with
the long-range plan, focused on driving unit growth, LTR and Owner
Gain enterprise actionable buy in and implement applicable RACI
Measure and manage for brand growth opportunities translating
big data into insights and relevant, profitable brand programs.
Work to evolve and implement brand framework to ensure brand
remains relevant for target consumer to drive brand growth. Serve
as brand champion with multiple stakeholder groups
Skills you have..
5 plus years of successful hotel experience as a requirement
with a proven track record of driving revenue specifically tied to
a strategic plan.
Must have exceptional leadership skills. Includes ability to
create a compelling vision, demonstrate flexibility in approach;
influence and motivate others to achieve desired results; ability
to address difficult issues.
Must have strong business and financial acumen skills that
include sound knowledge of the business economics. Able to develop
business case and effectively communicate the benefits
Must be an energized self-starter who can work independently;
comfortable challenging organizational norms and accepted thinking
to improve effectiveness.
Think and act as a company-wide leader; promote and build
teamwork ACROSS individual departments.
Strong executive presence – able to sell ideas and influence
persuasively, settling differences and winning concessions without
damaging relationships; can be both direct and forceful while
Results oriented; delivers results under difficult conditions
and demonstrates balanced judgment under pressure.
Strong communication skills – includes oral (one on one and
presentations to large audiences) and written.
