Description Arlluk Technology Solutions currently has an opening
for a Senior Docker Engineer to support a large Federal customer in

Provide hands-on DevOps technical engineering support services
necessary to permit a Federal Client to provide a turnkey
Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) solution offering. The Senior Docker
Engineer shall actively participate with other DevOps Engineers to
implement container solutions responsible for engagement
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but
are not limited to:
Proficient with the design of containerization-based technology
architectures including the utilization of container engines,
templates and management solutions that encompass monitoring,
scheduling, storage management and rapid deployment.
Utilize understanding of the inner workings of containerized
environments and multi tenancy technology to identify risks and
Assist clients to transform their business and solve complex
problems by defining the scope and vision for projects that deliver
Work with application teams to plan and execute transitions into
the container environment.
Lead the planning and design of cloud architectures, solutions,
configurations, and migrations.
Remediate and harden cloud environments to bring them into
compliance with security standards.
Develop cloud systems documentation to support compliance
reporting against enterprise architectural and cyber security
policies (including a range of U.S. Federal Government, CIS AWS
Foundations Benchmark, CIS Microsoft Azure Foundations.
Design and develop cloud infrastructure configuration automation
Install and maintain various components of Docker Enterprise
environment supporting highly complex large-scale data center
Architecting and developing estimates on containerization
patterns, estimates and solutions.
Integrate the Docker Enterprise components with third party
tools to support all the monitoring, logging, volumes, networking
and security requirements.
Document the technical instructions, architectural diagrams,
standard operating procedures.
Provide scripting solutions to automate various manual aspects
of the Docker EE administration.
Work with a cross functional data center team, participate/lead
meetings to resolve complex implementation challenges.
Work closely with the representatives of legacy application
teams and assist with transitioning those applications to a Docker
based environment; migrating existing workloads to containers.
Ensure stability and availability of Docker EE environment by
proactively administering the systems.
Work closely with the data center operations teams to support
the operations on systems hosting Docker eco-system.
Escalate issues to the Project Manager and implement mitigation
Position Requirements Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
8+ years of Linux systems design, engineering and administration
experience with demonstrated advancement to guide technology
10+ years of experience in software development with at least 3
years as an architect/engineering leader with hands on
hands-on experience with modern server less and containerized
computing platforms: Functions, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Experience in Containerized Applications lifecycle management
tools and resources such as Docker Compose, Docker CLI/API, Docker
Build, Docker Trusted Registry, Docker Container Engine, Volumes,
Experience with enterprise security tools, log management, job
scheduling and monitoring solutions.
Strong scripting skills; Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby.
Experience with managing container based environments (Docker,
Experience in DevOps tools and processes (DevOps experience in
Container environment is a plus): Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible.
Experience with deploying applications into a cloud environment
Strong conceptual, analytical, judgment and communication
Proactively engages with the client and project team thus
requiring minimal direct supervision.
Experienced with delivering traditional lifecycle development
Ability to work collaboratively with business users, managers
and non-technical staff.
Flexibility to work overtime, as needed, to include weekends,
holidays, and off-hours.
Working Environment & Conditions
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard
office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.
