The compensation package includes a base salary plus bonus compensation for production and performance. Responsibilities

• Manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of Firm clients by developing agreements, negotiating settlements, and advocating for clients in Court
• Take complete ownership of a client's case - strategy, discovery, pleadings, motions, collaboration and mediation, pretrial hearings, motion hearings, trials, and post-judgment matters
• Delegate work to legal assistants and collaborate with them to serve our clients
• Working together with other team members in the firm to meet clients' more complex needs--you appreciate that collaborating with colleagues is the expectation, not the exception Qualifications The most important qualifications are that you:
  • Have experience as lead attorney on a minimum of 10 cases
  • Understand the importance of delivering an incredible client experience
  • Has an excellent skill set for legal research and writing
  • Have a true passion for being in a courtroom
  • Have proficiency for legal writing
  • Work best in a team environment
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuing legal education. You are happy in dynamic work environments, enjoy working in a team, and have a compassionate approach to clients
  • You can develop the strategy of a case based on the goals of the client and you know where to find the rules and case law to back up that case strategy. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand-holding
  • You are comfortable in a courtroom and know how to project confidence and competence when representing our clients
  • You excel at setting realistic expectations for our clients and managing those expectations as the case progresses. You need to be able to help a client understand whether they really want to spend $500 to fight with their ex over a $50 lamp
  • Skills and experience are important and valued, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations
  • You can deal with a boss who is always busy, might not give much direction, might get distracted by new, exciting things, and is focused on results
  • -You appreciate the value of streamlined policies and procedures to ensure that the work product remains high-level and consistent. -We need someone who will help us build great systems to measure our efforts against the results
  • You are someone who is not afraid to pitch in and help where the team needs it. We need someone who does not think that the occasional need to scan in your own documents is "beneath you."
