Job Description:
Digital Realty is seeking an Information Architect to design,
standardize, and govern how data is structured, integrated, and
leveraged across the enterprise. This role is pivotal in shaping
the enterprise canonical data model, ensuring consistency across
systems, business domains, and analytics platforms. The Information
Architect will collaborate with business and technology
stakeholders to define data domains, taxonomies, metadata, and
integration standards, ensuring data is trusted, accessible, and
reusable for operations, analytics, and regulatory compliance. The
role will also partner closely with the MDM Program Leader to
ensure alignment between information architecture principles and
Profisee-driven master data management (MDM) capabilities. This
position requires both strategic vision and hands-on design
expertise, balancing long-term architecture principles with
practical implementation guidance. What you’ll • Define, maintain,
and evolve the enterprise canonical data model, ensuring
standardization across systems and domains (e.g., customer,
contracts, inventory, financials). • Collaborate with the MDM
Program Leader to design Profisee MDM data models, hierarchies, and
stewardship workflows that align with enterprise standards. •
Partner with enterprise architects and solution teams to embed
information architecture principles in system implementations,
integrations, and analytics platforms. • Develop and enforce
metadata, glossary, and data lineage standards using enterprise
cataloging/governance tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview). • Establish
reusable data design patterns for interoperability across
applications, APIs, streaming platforms, and data warehouses/lakes.
• Work with business stakeholders to capture requirements and
translate them into standardized, reusable models that support
operational and analytical use cases. • Conduct architecture
reviews of projects and initiatives to ensure compliance with
canonical data model and information architecture standards. •
Provide guidance and mentorship to data modelers, data stewards,
and engineers. What you’ll need • 10 years in enterprise data
management, data architecture, or information architecture. •
Proven experience defining and managing canonical data models
across multiple business domains. • Strong knowledge of data
modeling techniques (conceptual, logical, and physical). • Hands-on
experience with Profisee MDM or equivalent enterprise MDM tools. •
Familiarity with metadata and governance platforms (Microsoft
Purview, Collibra, Informatica, etc.). • Deep understanding of data
integration approaches (ETL/ELT, APIs, streaming, event-driven). •
Ability to bridge business and technology perspectives, ensuring
models align with enterprise processes and strategies. • Strong
facilitation and communication skills, with experience driving
consensus across diverse stakeholder groups. Preferred Skills •
Industry experience in colocation, data centers, or real estate. •
Knowledge of cloud-native data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and
modern architectures (data mesh, fabric, lakehouse). • Experience
with BI/analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and how they
consume structured enterprise data models. • Awareness of
compliance and regulatory data requirements. Education • Bachelor’s
degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or
related field required. • Master’s degree preferred.
