Job Description:
NOVA Parks is seeking a dedicated Point of Sale Systems
Specialist to manage and optimize the point of sale (POS) systems
across our vast network of parks, which span over 12,000 acres of
vibrant woodlands and parklands. This crucial role involves
maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the POS systems
that facilitate park operations, ensuring an exceptional customer
experience for the millions of visitors who explore our parks each
year. Administer and configure POS software and hardware to ensure
optimal functionality at all park locations. Troubleshoot and
resolve issues relating to POS systems, including software errors,
hardware malfunctions, and connectivity problems. Collaborate with
IT team members and park staff to enhance POS system capabilities
and integrate new features. Conduct regular system audits and
updates to ensure security measures are up-to-date and effective.
Provide training and support to park staff on the use of POS
systems, ensuring efficient operations. Develop and maintain
documentation related to POS system configurations, procedures, and
troubleshooting guides. Monitor system performance, reporting any
long-term issues to IT management for strategic planning. Strong
technical proficiency in POS systems management and
troubleshooting. Proficient in IT support tools and software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong
communication and training skills. Ability to collaborate
effectively with team members and other departments. Capability to
manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance Certified
Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – desirable but
not mandatory. CompTIA IT Operations Specialist (CIOS)
certification – preferred.
