payloads/instruments, deploy spacecraft, and perform space
logistics for our partners.------Quantum Space is seeking a
dedicated System Administrator to join our team. - -The incumbent
is responsible for maintaining optimal usability/availability of
all network and information systems scoped as company standard and
highly specialized resources. - Under the supervision of the Chief
Data Officer and Information Systems Senior Manager, this position
provides direct and L2/L3 support for the information systems
classified as part of the company application boundary and works
for maintain compliance with all company system security plan
controls and processes. -RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:--- -
Provide direct hardware, OS, and
software support to on premises, highly specialized Integration and
Test (I&T), virtual, containerized, and cloud-base information
systems and services that are part of the
infrastructure/environment or used as component within the
information system relationship.Maintain management and
responsibility of information systems both on and off site.Work
closely with Software Engineers to integrate, test, and ensure that
custom applications are accepted and installed into information
systems in accordance with documented software configuration
management processes.Track progress of activity within ticketing,
issue tracking, and document configuration management systems. -
Ensure that tickets are addressed and closed in a timely manner. -
Log/document processes within the system Wiki/informational
pages.Work within the scope of the corporate information security
policies to ensure all information systems meet the requirements
under the system security plan. - Document processes, scoped
controls, and implementation details consistent with National
Institute of Standards and Technology 800-171, Cybersecurity
Maturity Model Certification, Government Community Cloud High,
Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, and other
InfoSec organizationally defined values. - Provide this data to
information system ownership for approval. - Accept common controls
where possible and provide justification for deviations, as
necessary.Ensure systems are patched in accordance with the
maintenance plan processes.Provide residual end user support, when
necessary.Work within DevOps processes and provide direction on
automation activities and priorities.Evaluate and scope hardware
and software necessary for use within the corporate and I&T
environments. - Follow all company control processes to ensure
commercial hardware and applications are accountable and accepted
within corporate operating system baselines. - Leverage change
control accounting to ensure Free and Open-Source (FOSS)
applications are accepted. - Work with company accounting and
financial managers to procure information systems items, as
necessary.Maintain optimal inventory and control of all corporate
and highly specialized information and network assets. - Work to
ensure property control processes are followed to ensure inventory
accountability. - Develop scripts and Ansible roles and playbooks
(as a function of software configuration management) to be used as
part of the automation process. - Submit to and participate in the
code review process, working with Software/DevOps Engineering to
both provide and accept adequate feedback and affect changes to
scripts/files/roles.Provide weekly status/activity reporting to
both Chief Data Officer and Information Systems Senior Manager.
-REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: -
Provide advanced support of a diverse
array of operating systems across platforms: Linux (Debian-based
and RHEL-based distributions), macOS, and Windows.Create
interoperability between different operating system architectures
within the corporate and I&T application
boundaries.Understanding of various networking technologies and the
ability to provide logical network implementations. -Understanding
of routing, switching, access-control, and LAN/VLAN/WLAN
methodologies.Understanding scripting languages (BASH/Shell/YAML).
- Development of scripts consistent with automation processes.The
ability to develop Ansible roles and playbooks and submit them to
source control for review and subsequent release into host
configuration deployments.Advanced hardware and network
troubleshooting/resolution.Knowledge of cloud technologies to
include Microsoft Azure (Azure Active Directory) and Amazon Web
Services (EC2, ECS, EKS, ECR, RDS, SES, S3, CloudFormation,
etc.).Knowledge of IdP/SAML integration.Fundamental/conceptual
knowledge of virtualization, containerization, micro-services, and
IaaS /PaaS/SaaS services. - The ability to integrate these service
types gracefully into the corporate and I&T
processes.Understanding of continuous integration/delivery and
source control services, support, and deployment.The ability to
troubleshoot software and OS issues through data aggregation/log
review.Coordination of project, activities, and work for the
engineering programs.The ability to effectively communicate orally
and in writing. - The ability to provide and ratify documented and
accepted process as part of the security plan operating procedures
(standard and local).Minimum of 10 years' experience in System
Administration, DevOps, cloud, and network support. - CompTIA
Security+ certification and the ability to maintain DoD 8570.01
IAT/IAM certification.The ability to hold and maintain a security
