Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated, highly passionate Software/Application(s) Security Engineer to join a team of extremely dedicated Security professionals supporting applications (*Java based applications) and ensuring that things are proactively broken in order to prevent future threats and potential vulnerabilities to the enterprise and the integrity of the data they're evaluating as an organization. Ideally seeking someone who's come from a background and is well experienced coming from working in a group development environment, either as a software engineer or QA engineer or build/release engineer.

This person will be responsible for assessing software security measures/protocols, etc. by performing security testing, participating in code reviews and working in partnership with Java based applications teams/software development teams to ensure that appropriate software security controls have been designed and built within applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Perform software security testing at a unit, functional, and system wide level
  
• Perform manual and/or automated secure code reviews
  
• Lead threat modeling activities
  
• Assist development teams in designing, developing and implementing integrated software security solutions
  
• Conduct security risk analysis of business and technology projects
  
• Participate, as needed, in documenting software security standards, guidelines, policies and procedures
  
• Act as Software Security resource on assigned projects
  
• Creates reusable software security artifacts Develop and/or deliver software security focused training
  
  Qualifications:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field of study
    
  • 7 to 8+ years experience in Programming/softwareapplication development experience using Java, C#, .NET or other applicable programming experience
    
  • Experience in QA, test automation, and having solid test design experience
    
  • Experience performing automated and/or manual code reviews
    
  • Experience in a group development environment, either as a software engineer or QA engineer or build/release engineer
    
  • Experience with interpreting policies and appropriately applying them to projects
    
  • Experience writing technology-specific best practices
