Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare organization, is
seeking a dedicated MedSurg Nurse Educator (RN) to join our team.
This role is crucial for advancing the skills and knowledge of our
nursing staff, focusing primarily on our MedSurg units. You will be
responsible for developing and leading training programs that align
with the cutting-edge medical practices and compassionate care
standards that MedStar Health is known for. This position offers
the opportunity to significantly impact the quality of healthcare
delivery in our dynamic hospital settings. Design, implement, and
evaluate educational programs for nursing staff in MedSurg units.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to tailor training
programs according to the latest medical guidelines and best
practices. Assess learning needs and the effectiveness of
educational offerings, making adjustments as necessary. Provide
clinical coaching and mentoring to nursing staff to enhance their
professional competency. Coordinate with management and healthcare
teams to integrate clinical education within patient care
initiatives. Strong knowledge of MedSurg nursing practices and
principles. Excellent teaching abilities and familiarity with
educational technology. Ability to assess educational needs and
implement effective programs. Leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Medical

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Certification in Nursing Professional Development (RN-BC) or
similar is desirable.
