Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Martinsburg, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,218 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: COVID vaccine required Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a MedSurg unit. The position involves working 3 nights a week, including every other weekend and holidays as needed. The unit consists of 35 beds, which can expand to 42. Patient ratios are 1:5-6 for both shifts. Candidates must be familiar with monitoring protocols and have basic arrhythmia knowledge. Experience with IV infusions is required, specifically Heparin or Protonix, without titrating gtts or cardiac gtts. The unit does not have an IV team, but Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7. Pharmacy services are also offered in-house around the clock. Float requirements include any MedSurg units, excluding emergency and behavioral health areas. Orientation will include 1-2 shifts with a preceptor. Common diagnoses include a wide variety of conditions such as altered mental status, cardiac patients, renal issues, and post-operative care. Wound care will have specific nursing support during daytime hours. Cancellation policies allow for certain shifts to be canceled without penalty.
