Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years preferred, will accept a first-time traveler with strong CPU and PCU experience License: Active state RN license Certifications: BLS, CPI, NIH, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Experience in higher acuity - Ability to handle multiple complex diagnoses Description: We are seeking a passionate Registered Nurse specialized in Cardiac Tele. This role involves working in a combined unit that requires a higher level of acuity experience. The average daily census is 30 patients, with various diagnoses including CHF, ECOPD, NSTEMI, new onset AfiB, arrhythmias, sepsis, and renal failure. Candidates should be comfortable with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and post MI care. Experience with cardiac procedures such as pre/post cardiac catheterization and blood product administration is also important. Nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Strong competencies in isolation precautions and peripheral line management are essential. Special equipment experience is preferred, along with familiarity with rapid response and code teams. Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital as needed.
