be considered. A registered nurse with specialized cardiovascular
operating room (CVOR) experience is needed for a dynamic role
located in Rockville, MD. This contract position offers a
structured 13-week assignment with a focus on delivering
exceptional perioperative care across a variety of surgical
specialties, including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and General
Surgery. Responsibilities: - Provide professional nursing care to
patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures. - Serve in
both circulating and scrub roles within the CVOR, supporting
complex surgeries with precision. - Collaborate closely with
surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare
professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. -
Participate in on-call rotations requiring availability during
evenings, weekends, and holidays. - Float within the specialty,
supporting general OR as needed based on case volume. - Adhere to
all safety, regulatory, and infection control procedures.
Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Active registered nurse
license for the Maryland state. - Minimum of 5 years of nursing
experience; candidates with strong general OR background and
exposure to Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and General Surgery are
welcome, including first-time travelers. - Proven experience in
both circulating and scrub roles within the CVOR setting. - Basic
Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular
Life Support (ACLS) preferred. - Willingness to work 4x10-hour day
shifts (06:45 17:15) with occasional early starts for multiple
heart cases. - Availability to fulfill weekend and on-call
requirements, including 10-15 on-call shifts per contract.
Schedule: - Monday to Thursday, 10-hour day shifts. - Weekend and
holiday coverage as scheduled. - On-call responsibilities split
evenly among staff. This role is an excellent fit for experienced
