Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Physical
Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team, offering a
compassionate touch to facility-based and home-based patient care.
As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in our network of
inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health agencies. Your
focus will be on providing direct physical therapy services under
the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Your effort is vital in helping patients achieve their highest
level of recovery and participation in life through compassionate,
effective, and efficient care. Assist Physical Therapists in the
implementation of patient therapy programs. Record patient
responses and progress within patient charts. Communicate with
physical therapy team regarding patient treatment plans and
progress. Educate patients and families on post-therapy exercises
and home-based recovery techniques. Assist with patient mobility
and physical therapy exercises. Ensure the therapy area is prepared
and properly maintained with necessary supplies and equipment.
Ability to implement and modify specific therapy treatments as
directed by the Physical Therapist. Strong organizational and
interpersonal skills. Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations
and standards. Physical ability to assist and support patients
during therapy. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license. CPR
certification.
