qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Arlington, Virginia, 22205! Pay
Information $2,413 per week About The Position Job Title: Labor and
Delivery Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and
Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: 1 year experience preferred License: Active VA or
Compact License required Certifications: ACLS, NRP required
Must-Have: Circulating skillset Experience with high-risk
pregnancies preferred AWHONN Intermediate preferred, but not
required Description: We are seeking a registered nurse
specializing in labor and delivery. The role involves providing
care to patients in a high-risk environment. You will work 3 night
shifts each week. Every other weekend availability is required. The
facility features 16 labor rooms, 6 triage rooms, 6 antepartum
rooms, and 3 operating rooms. In-house anesthesia services are
available 24/7. You will care for obstetric patients greater than
20 weeks gestation. Common patient care scenarios include
preeclampsia, gestational diabetes mellitus, preterm premature
rupture of membranes, multiple pregnancies, fetal anomalies, and
cardiac defects. The unit is a teaching facility with resident
coverage. External cephalic versions are performed during the day
when applicable. The average daily census is approximately 15. The
nurse-patient ratio is 1:2. No call duty is required. Medication
management is conducted using Omnicell. Documentation is done in
EPIC and OBTV. Communication is based on the SBAR method.
First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Scrubs will be provided.
Experience with EPIC is favorable but not mandatory. Vaccination
for COVID-19 is required, with medical or religious exemptions
considered. The flu vaccine is also mandatory during flu season,
with exemption options available. The facility is smoke and
