employees.Job Summary:Westat is seeking an individual with customer
service experience to work on a large, fast-paced research support
project for the National Cancer Institute. This position responds
to inquiries from the clinical research sites and other stakeholder
organizations. Training will be provided on how to respond,
monitor, track telephone and email inquiries. Staff work
independently and collaboratively with other project staff to
provide timely and accurate response per project procedures. The
normal service hours for the customer service area are 9:00 am to
6:00 pm ET, Monday to Friday except Westat holidays.This is a
full-time position to work onsite at our Westat corporate office in
Maryland at least 2 days/week and 3 days/week from your home
office.Job Responsibilities:--- Respond accurately to phone calls
and emails in timeframes outlined in the project procedures.---
Provide accurate and complete documentation of inquiries and
resolutions in the issue tracking system.--- Escalate inquiries as
necessary to other resources and ensure clients receive timely
follow up and resolutions.--- Track and monitor responses to client
inquiries and problems.--- Develop and maintain familiarity with
project applications, procedures, and business rules.--- Provide
support for other project communication activities and review of
website content.Basic Qualifications:--- A bachelor's degree in a
Health or Social Science field.--- Demonstrated customer service
experience working in a related health or research environment.
Preferred Qualifications:--- Must be comfortable with using a
variety of computer software including MS Office.--- Relevant work
experience in a health-related field or research environment and an
understanding of medical and/or clinical research terminology.Other
Required Qualifications:--- Demonstrated communication skills.---
Collaboration with teams, managers and/or clients.--- Ability to
prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced area.---
Organization skills, including time management ability.--- Detail
