Private Duty RN jobs for the 2024/2025 School Year are now open across the Rockville MD area.American Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Private Duty RN for school-based contract positions throughout the Rockville area for the 24/25 school year.RN Private Duty Job Details:Pay Rate: $35-$44.50Schedule: Monday-Friday no call, no weekends, no holidaysHours: School bell hours, approximately 35 hours per weekContract: 2024/2025 school year with optional summer schoolLocated In: Rockville, MDRequirements: Qualified applicants MUST be licensed as an RN and willing to obtain MD state licensure.As a Private Duty RN in schools, youll deliver consistent, high-quality nursing care to a child in a school setting. These patients typically require dedicated nursing care and management due to chronic or terminal conditionsand youll ensure they can learn and engage in a class setting while having their health needs met. Responsibilities include:Monitoring the students vitals and symptomsadministering medication and treatments according to physician orders and established protocolsProviding skilled nursing care to the student in the classroom, including medication management and helping with feeding/hygiene Monitoring progress and response to treatment, collaborating with the care team on medical needs and changes, and supporting the student as needed to achieve desired outcomes Providing emotional support to students and families coping with medical concerns Those who choose to practice as a Private Duty LPN typically enjoy the freedom to work independently, as well as the bonds they make with the child, their family, and their teachers.
