Adventist Home Assistance seeks to hire an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for our Home Care Division who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

This is a hybrid position where you would need to be available to work in both an acute care hospital setting and care for patients in their homes. Assignments may vary in length.

As an Adventist Home + Hospital CNA you will:
--- Perform various service duties and routine technical tasks such as vital signs and activities of daily living under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
--- Specific duties may vary by area of assignment.
--- Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required.
--- Certified Nursing Assistants adhere to the written care plan instructions issued by the Clinical Nurse while also striving to advance their own knowledge and skills through careful feedback and guidance provided by the Clinical Nurse Manager.
--- Serve as AHA ambassadors in patient's home and are expected to use best practices in patient care.
--- CNA should demonstrate professionalism, adhere to AHA standards of practice, and exemplify the Adventist HealthCare values as they fulfill our nursing mission and vision.
--- The ability to use equipment and technology correctly, to provide excellent service to patients, and to maximize patient satisfaction are key CNA role.
--- On the job training is offered

Qualifications include:
--- High School Diploma or GED
--- Valid Maryland Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
--- Valid American Heart Association BLS/CPR Certification
--- Valid First Aid Certification
--- CNAs with a year or more of experience after certification required
--- Acute Care experience preferred
--- Valid Maryland Board of Nursing Certified Medication Technician/Certified Medication Aide (CMT/CMA) preferred
--- Valid driver's license (if applicable).

Work Schedule:

For Hospital: Day Shifts in Rockville, MD. Short term assignments up to 6 weeks in a specific department when needed.

For Home: Pick-up Shifts throughout Montgomery County, MD depending on availability. Shifts available from 7am-7pm.

Adventist HealthCare requires all applicants to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before commencing employment. Applicants may be required to furnish proof of vaccination and, if offered, may elect to be vaccinated at an designated Adventist HealthCare location.

Tobacco and Drug Statement

Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue. Adventist HealthCare will withdraw offers of employment to applicants who test positive for Cotinine (nicotine) and marijuana. Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing.
