Scientist I/IICell Therapy Operations Job Code: 2021CT002 Job Description Immunomic Therapeutics, Inc. (ITI) is a rapidly growing Clinical Stage,Pre-IPO biotechnology company pioneering the study of nucleic acid immunotherapy platforms. These investigational technologies have the potential to alter how we use immunotherapy for cancer, allergies, and animal health. We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Scientist I/II, Cell Therapy Operations to join our expanding team and contribute to the development of Cell Therapy products at ITI. The candidate will be a highly motivated scientist with good laboratory skills preferably with prior experience in cell separation system(s) and Immunology techniques including Flowcytometry, ELISpot, ELISA, Tetramer analysis, cell culture/cell-based bioassays, microscopy etc. The successful candidate will have competency in the application of statistical methods, tools for data analysis, writing technical reports, and data presentation in internal and external meetings. The candidate willfocus on process development initiatives and will report to Associate Director, Cell Therapy Operations. Essential Functions Design and execute laboratory experiments to support cell therapy process development Lead cell separation process development initiatives to enable process improvement, characterize the process and develop plan to control the process Record, critically analyze process development data and author technical reports Summarize and present results at internal and external meetings and contribute to group discussion Author and review SOPs, raw material specifications, technical reports Support the tech transfer process to CMOs/CDMOs Work independently or collaboratively as a team member within organizational structure to perform and troubleshoot experiments Establish the cell therapy product characterization, in-process lot release and stability panels. Author and review technical and regulatory documents in support of CMC regulatory submissions (IND, BLA). Engage with both internal and external partners in the support of Process Development, preclinical, and clinical development of cell and gene therapies. Competencies and Skills Customer Focus Communication/Presentation Skills (spoken, written) Integrity/Ethics Initiative Sense of Urgency Teamwork Collaboration Skills Innovation Required Education and Experience Scientist I: Ph.D. in appropriate discipline (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology)with1-3 years of work experience (Scientist I) preferably in cell therapy. Scientist II: Ph.D. in appropriate discipline (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology)with3-5 years of work experience preferably in cell therapy. Understanding of immunology and cellular biology with application to development of cellular processing and analytical methods. Experience and competency with the following: multi-color flow cytometry, ELISpot, ELISA, cell culture/cell-based bioassays, microscopy, cell separation systems(e.g.Elutra, Rotea, Miltenyi). Prior experience developing potency and/or immunophenotyping test methods for cellular therapies. Experience working with human immune cells is preferable. Competency in the application of statistical methods and tools for data analysis. Ability to work independently or as a team member to meet goals and commitments. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Experience translating complex scientific concepts and data into reports, presentations and CMC filings is required.
