AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Water Resources
Engineer for the position of Senior Project Manager, with 15+ years
of relevant experience, to join our growing Team of design
professionals. The right candidate will work from AMT's Rockville,
MD or Towson, MD office on a combination of transportation and
water resources projects with direct supervision and mentorship of
junior water resources staff.In this role, you will support water
resources tasks throughout the firm for roadway, bridge, pedestrian
safety, drainage improvements and urban stormwater projects
involving, flood mitigation, storm drain networks, stormwater
management systems and erosion and sediment controls. We provide an

candidate.Responsibilities
- Collect and Analyze date for mapping and reporting
- Perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations
- Assist in the preparation of construction plans including SWM,
erosion and sediment control and drainage design
- Assist in the preparation of engineering documents (plans,
reports, cost estimates and specifications) for Permitting,
Advertisement and Construction
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working
relationships with coworkers, project managers, supervisors, and
other team membersQualifications
- Client coordination, coordinating with other design
disciplines, performing Quality Control reviews, preparing scope
and fee proposals, and adhering to project budgets and
schedules.
- Leading junior design staff and designing open and closed storm
drain systems, developing stormwater management systems, and
hydrology and hydraulics modeling of open channels, floodplains,
and bridge hydraulics.
- Roadway, bridge, trail and sidewalk design projects including
open and closed system storm drainage; stormwater management;
erosion and sediment controls; quantity and cost estimating; and
other engineering design and support tasks related to the
development of roadway construction plans.
- Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies.
- Coordinate internally with other AMT engineers on a wide
variety of projects.
- Coordinate externally with clients and regulatory
agencies.
- Ensure project deliverables are complete, meet client
requirements, and follow QA/QC procedures.Required Education /
Experience
- BS in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Equivalent
- P.E. (Professional Engineering License)
- Minimum 15 years of water resources related experience
including design
- Strong MicroStation/Geopak/InRoads/OpenRoads and/or
AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices of
related technical areas.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently or within
project teams.
- Team-spirited, focused and able to make independent
decisions.
- Hydrology and hydraulic modeling experience (PC-SWMM, HEC-HMS,
HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, and similar)
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication
