Manager is responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds of
MOM's, overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies, determining
and scheduling repairs or renovation projects, and coordinating
inspections. The Facilities Manager is in charge of a budget and
must negotiate with outside vendors for supplies and repair. This
role is based out of our Central Store Support (CSS) office in
Rockville, MD with frequent travel to stores as required. Some
Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing all MOM's facilities needs and maintenance at
enterprise level.
- Overseeing the Facilities Technicians and the CSS Office
Administration Teams in the day-to-day performance of their jobs,
including hiring, coaching and developing.
- Ensuring that project/department goals are met and adheres to
approved budgets. -
- Ensuring security and emergency preparedness procedures are
implemented properly. -
- Ensuring that the facility is clean and maintained according to
company policies and procedures.
- Managing and reviewing vendor service contracts in Service
Channel, to ensure proper and timely execution of jobs, SLA's are
met, and invoices are accurate.
- Responsible for obtaining permits and licensing for new store
openings.
- Support with purchasing new equipment/furniture for stores and
CSS.
- Maintaining ongoing communication and checking completed work
by Facilities Technicians, vendors and contractors. -
- Lead annual site visits/meetings with GMs, identifying projects
to flow into Asana Capital Project Planning, and ensuring all
Service channel tickets are maintained and up to date.
- Regularly maintain relationships with all LL's at enterprise
level, communicating effectively based on lease language, and being
the first line of communication and escalating as necessary.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years' experience in Facilities Management or related
field
- 1-3 years' of supervisory experience
- Experience with general maintenance methods, operating
equipment, and safety precautions related to facilities
management
- Strong project management and customer service skills
- Strong knowledge of grocery operations
- General understanding of OSHA guidelines and safety
protocols
- General understanding of architectural drawings -
- Experience with Google Suite & Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail, especially with communication
(written and verbal) and meeting deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage
unexpected demands
- Dependable, follows instructions and takes initiative to solve
problems
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment Preferred
Skills:
- Experience with Vendor Management, Cost Analysis, Strong
Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Diagnosis, Asset Life
Cycle Mgmt, Sustainability and/or Utility Analysis
- General Commercial Lease Knowledge, Facilities Programs and
Capital Project Planning
- Knowledge of Real Estate Life Cycle
- Proficiency with Facilities Maintenance Software (ex. Service
Channel or relevant CMMS)
