Job Description:
Precise has an opportunity for an experienced capture
professional to support strategic capture efforts throughout the
sales lifecycle, including developing customer intimacy,
identifying and shaping opportunities, analyzing competitive
landscape, developing strong and productive teaming relationships,
etc.This position reports to the Chief of Customer & Growth
Officer.RESPONSIBILITIESINCLUDE:
- Working with leadership to identifying target opportunities and
capture them in the BD pipeline
- Qualifying potential opportunities and presenting value
proposition to the leadership team in aiding the stage gate
assessment process
- Identifying potential teaming partners for the qualified
opportunity and finalize workshare requirements based on the
prime-sub relationship and relevant capabilities
- Identifying key customer contacts to conduct capture via
unsolicited white papers, tailored customer presentations on
capabilities, and customer follow up meetings to steer the contract
vehicle as necessary
- Identifying key program personnel and coordinating with
Recruitment to conduct outreach for strategic and/or contingent
hires
- Working with designated solution architect to conduct
solutioning sessions and develop proposed architecture for
technical proposal
- Conducting historical pricing analysis and price to win
analysis to yield higher PWIN
- Working with the pricing specialist to ensure that the proposed
costs are in alignment with the price to win analysis
- Working with the proposal manager to ensure proposal compliance
by thoroughly reading all the stage gate materials and providing
feedback to address compliance gaps
- Conducting SWOT analysis and ghosting viable competitors and
assessing proposal gaps that need to be addressed
- Ensuring compliance with all proposal submission
deadlinesREQUIREMENTS:
- BA or BS degree; MBA desired
- U.S. Citizen or green card holder
- 5 - 10+ years' experience in the public sector industry
- Relevant, current industry experience and strategic technical
insight to assist in penetrating target markets
- Complete understanding and experience in identifying and
developing winnable opportunities and a proven track record in
developing new business
- Extensive network of professional contacts in public
sector
- Pipeline development and management skills
- Ability to develop strategic relationships with key
customers
- Experience developing strong and productive teaming
relationships
- Relevant technical knowledge in cloud, data management,
applications development, and infrastructure
- Proven track record of business development, including proposal
development for complex systems
- Demonstratable experience with the Shipley business development
and proposal process
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external
partners to sustain operational excellence, resolve conflicts, and
achieve customer satisfaction
- Candidate will be able to travel as required
- Demonstrated professional stability and commitment, as well as
the ability to initiate, maintain, and sustain successful long-term
relationships with clients
- Solid track record with successful sales and client
satisfaction
- Polished and articulate verbal communications and platform
skills with the ability to make high-level presentations
- Extensive experience in full life cycle business development
and leading capture
- Mature leadership style that aligns with an open and
transparent corporate culture
- Ability to identify and assemble resources for customer
analysis, competitive analysis, capture strategy development,
solution development and translation of strategy and solution into
winning proposals
- Deep understanding of pricing, baseline pricing strategies, and
the evolution of pricing strategies into business strategies that
are competitive and compelling for the customer
- Knowledge of and strong contacts within the systems integrator
and professional services community to facilitate the development
