DescriptionPosition Purpose
The IT Systems & Infrastructure Manager directs the architecting, planning, and operations of the Bank's information technology infrastructure, including local and wide area unified communications, application and database servers, disaster recovery, capacity planning and data security. The role provides a secure, reliable, and robust infrastructure and services for the bank.
Position Responsibilities


  • Management of all corporate infrastructure and networks including headquarters and data center networks, to include documentation; Responsible for the design, implementation and upgrades of all infrastructure components including servers, firewalls, virtualization infrastructures, VPNs, PCs, phone systems, messaging, SAN, mobile devices and voice and data circuits.
  • Work with Senior leaders on short- and long-term business requirements in the areas of Infrastructure platforms, voice and data networks, environment and security management, information access, directory services, messaging, and application integration.
  • Provide leadership in the planning, management, and integration of information systems, data networks, and telecommunications. Identify trends; Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies in support of business and IT objectives.
  • Maintain an awareness of the company's business activities/operations and strategies and ensure that all infrastructure systems are aligned with and support business objectives.
  • Manage assigned budget and assist in the annual budgeting process by providing accurate forecast data.
  • Perform Compliance and Controls for responsible systems to make sure the Bank maintains compliance with all required policies.
  • Management of technical vendor relationships and facilitate efforts towards effective cost attainment.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of hardware and software contractors and recommends courses of action.
  • Provide management with accurate, timely and relevant information about the status of projects, personnel, and activities within the Technical Infrastructure area.
  • Partner with departmental staff to formulate strategies driven by the Council's overall business strategies and objectives for the infrastructure area to improve its technical and operational performance.


    • Keep up to date on industry best practices and advisories, interpret and update internal practices as necessary.
    • Coordination of new employee onboarding including account creation and laptop imaging.
    • Manage and administer systems to track business assets.
    • Manage the hardware lifecycle to meet business requirements within budget.
    • Manage relationships with external vendors necessary to meet established service level agreements.
    • Assist with and support the use of technology for conferences both physical and virtual.
    • Create and document operating procedures related to end user computing.


      • Required to be on-call as needed for emergency situations.
      • Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned.



        Supervisory

        • Mentors and coaches direct reports within the team to help develop them for future roles and provide proper succession.
        • Manages performance of the team and conducts performance reviews within the processes of the Bank.


          Minimum Education & Experience Required

          • A minimum of 5 years' experience in related field.
          • A minimum of 3 years' managerial experience.
          • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
          • Experience in infrastructure development or support including developing and managing to budgets.
          • Experience with LAN/WAN networks, Internet technologies such as DNS, PC support functions and technology infrastructure operations.
          • Experience supporting or managing business critical infrastructure components, including enterprise storage (SAN/NAS -Nimble) and virtualization technologies (VMWare preferred), Microsoft Networking and Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Internet Information Services, Cisco networking, VoIP, Disaster Recovery.
          • Experience with ITIL management best practices.
          • Experience with Azure, Office 365, network and system monitoring, VPN (client and site to site), data backups, firewall and systems security, network switching and security routing.

            • Ability to guide others in resolving complex issues of significance to the organization.
            • Exceptional organizational, project planning, and time management skills.
            • Ability to inform, educate and influence supervisors and employees to support infrastructure goals and objectives.
            • Proven track record of developing and/or implementing standard service desk practices and procedures.
            • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team setting, and across external and internal stakeholder groups.
            • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong attention to detail, with a keen focus on quality.
            • Strong analytical skills.
            • Comfort with multi-tasking.
            • Familiar with trends and innovation in cloud-based offerings (Azure, AWS).
            • Advanced knowledge of Voice & Data Networks and System Administration (including Data Center Management), information security and disaster recovery.


              Other
              Ability to travel to various bank locations as needed.
