TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our growing team in Rockville, MD. -The Technical Project Manager will use a consultative approach to build and maintain relationships with senior government staff and contractors and will apply a deep understanding of current technology and Software Development Life-cycle -to identify and elevate implementation challenges, define and gain consensus on courses of action, and manage execution risk. The Technical Project manager will also drive collaboration and thought leadership, to improve adoption and identify efficiencies. This person -must be resourceful, detail-oriented, 100% client-focused, and possess a continuing passion for their profession. The Project manager will support the management of all aspects of service delivery to ensure that the task is delivered as required, in a professional manner, and with high levels of quality and customer satisfaction. Success in this role requires a candidate who can handle a high degree of flexibility, works well in a fast-paced environment, and thrives on dealing with ambiguity, balancing frequent changes in priority, and managing complex relationships with a delivery team. Responsibilities

• Work autonomously as part of a PMO -
• Lead infrastructure modernization efforts for assigned work-stream
• Provide oversight for technology deliverables for assigned work-stream -(task schedules, road-maps, implementation plan)
• Create and manage project documents including contract deliverables, change management -plans, etc.
• Partner with program leads to create and deliver status updates to senior leadership
• Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans and deliverables meet intent -
• Pro-actively manage change in project scope, identify potential risks/issues
• Identify ways to improve and streamline business processes
• Inform appropriate team members of project status and related issues
• Support the management of required project artifacts consistent with project management methodology
• Facilitate communication between infrastructure teams, the Customer and other functional Leads when necessary
• Report on project status clearly, consistently, and reliably to program leadership and team members Qualifications
  • 10+ years in IT and/or software development industry
  • 10+ years of PM experience in infrastructure project management
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure projects
  • Experience with IBM Rational Tools
  • Clear understanding of agile software development methodologies and key best practices
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills Education:
    • BS in a technology or related field and 10+ years of prior relevant experience Clearance:
