Job Description:

LCG, Inc. is in search of a Project Specialist to support team operations for an organization providing direct support for grant review and software management as part of a federal grants management enterprise system. LCG's service delivery in this area includes management of the peer review process, help desk support, software and process adaption, and software development, maintenance and enhancements. Under the guidance of LCG Directors and our federal customer, the Project Specialist is responsible for the financial tracking, task order assignment, and process documentation, ensuring adherence to the budget and scheduled contract deliverables. The Project Specialist monitors the deliverables to ensure performance is in compliance with the contract.
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and tracking all aspects of the service delivery project, including schedule, cost, contract management, while supporting client management and customer satisfaction
Directs project team personnel regarding managing costs and schedules, ensures contract compliance, and serves as financial customer interface.
Analyzes project effectiveness of the organization and makes changes when needed
Manage and track against multiple budgets to include monthly reporting of project forecast and project burn for each
Prepares and distributes daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports
Writes reports that provide information to support management of the team and improved support for client
Creates, reviews, and updates Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentation
Collects and analyzes customer feedback and takes actions to maintain high service standards
Reviews, maintains and enforces approved procedures and quality standards
Ensure sound project management processes are established and maintained
Create and manage project documentation (e.g., proposals, cost estimates, funding agreements) and enforce approval workflows
Cooperate in the reporting of program status to executive management, Federal Leadership, and Partners (as needed)
Identify risks and issues and ensure that appropriate risk management activities are followed
Effectively applies our ISO and CMMI processes and enforces project standards.
Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
Support team's interface with government customers and articulating an operational vision for the program along with proposed plans to meet that vision
Collaborate with team's client-facing managers to identify opportunities to improve overall service delivery to our partners
Participates in proposal efforts including completing project scoping and LOE assessments.
Facilitates team and client meetings effectively. Manages day-to-day client interaction. Sets and manages client expectations.
Working closely with multiple Project Management Offices (PMOs) to obtain the necessary resources to ensure successful service delivery
Assesses performance of staff and team members and coaches them to improve performance
May be required to work flexible hours and weekends as apply.
Understanding of Federal Government information needs
Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Outstanding customer service skills
Microsoft Office Skills:
Expert in Microsoft Excel and Word;
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint;
Experience with Visio and Project a plus
Experience with JIRA, Salesforce, and SharePoint
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
Must have 7 years of project management-related experience and at least 2-3 years of experience managing projects within the Federal Government industry
Must have a PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
