The Sr. People and Culture Manager will be responsible for onboarding, performance management, workforce planning, mentoring, development, compensation administration, employee life cycle activities, change management, benefits administration, and recognition programs and team member engagement for the Rockville team members. This role reports to the Chief People and Culture Officer and will serve as a business partner helping to ensure People & Culture (P&C) strategies are aligned and in support of the business strategies and objectives for the local office. Additionally, the Sr. People and Culture Manager will contribute to company-wide people and culture programs and initiatives. Overall Responsibility for the Sr. People and Culture Manager:

  • Administers various People and Culture related policies and procedures, provides guidance and interpretation for the business; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; ensures compliance with policies and guidelines
  • Recommends new policies and procedures to ensure they align with the company culture
  • Manages benefits administration (Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, etc.); including, but not limited to annual benefits analysis, open enrollment, career development, and promoting wellness programs
  • Manages and facilitates team member relations activities, including coaching, investigations, performance improvement plans, and exit interviews
  • Administers the compensation program; monitors the performance review program
  • Supports internal team member communication and engagement through feedback programs, surveys, etc.
  • Ensures HRIS system information is accurate and current, monitors requirements, administers changes, and pulls and analyzes reports
  • Ensures legal compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws, and regulations and updates policies and/or procedures as required (including, but not limited to EEOC, FMLA, ADA, and OSHA).
  • Partners with Chief People & Culture Officer on succession, integrated talent planning, position analysis, and job description creation
  • Collaborates with senior leadership regarding team member performance and engagement
  • Collaborates with talent acquisition team members regarding positions to be filled
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure team member performance is aligned with and supports the needs of the business

    • Ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment --Qualifications and Requirements:
      • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
      • PHR/SHRM-CP preferred
      • Minimum 8 years of People and Culture (HR) generalist experience with minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience
      • Technology/software industry experience preferred
      • Strong project management and organizational skills
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills
      • Sound judgment, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills
      • Proficient MS Office skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
      • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
      • Business acumen or ability to quickly acquire business knowledge
