This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work for a company intent upon dominating the free market by compelling its selection as the premier nuclear energy power plant of choice around the world for the 21st Century!Position DescriptionThe Senior Nuclear Quality Assurance Engineer will perform Quality Assurance services in support of X-energy''s reactor development project, including documenting, implementing and maintaining ASME NQA-1, CSA N286-12 requirements. You''ll ensure compliance to applicable NRC, DOE and CNSC requirements for all project activities. This includes responsibility for relevant administrative and technical quality decisions. You will apply your detailed knowledge, understanding and experience in the functional discipline and its practical application, industry codes, guidelines, and regulations. You will also actively support our safety culture and Quality Assurance activities associated with X-energy''s reactor development related to supply chain activities, graphite irradiation and fuel qualification programs.ResponsibilitiesEnsure processes/documents needed for the reactor program Quality Management System are identified, established, implemented and maintained as necessary.Oversee quality assurance documents and records.Assist with administration of Corrective Action Request program and analyze data for improvement.Analyze non-conformances and implements process improvement and corrective actions.Troubleshoot quality problems and contributes recommendations/solutions.Register, follow-up, and tracks Corrective Action Requests.Manage, plans, monitors and improve testing programs to specified standards (implement testing and inspection criteria).Work with the engineers to facilitate process methodologies.Assist with conducting internal quality inspections.Maintain NQA-1 auditor status.Assist with supplier evaluations and qualifications through audits, assessments and inspections.Provide statistical information for quality improvement where relevant.Facilitate, provide and encourage appropriate company quality training.Assist with implementation of QA Program.Implement and support evolution/improvement of the reactor program QA Program over the life of the program.Report to the SHEQ Director regarding the status of the quality programs and, where appropriate, concerns over significant hazards and risks and recommendations for improvement.Play an active role to ensure safety and quality culture is promoted and continually improved.Minimum Qualifications/ExperienceBS Quality/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.Minimum education requirement can also be met by having 10+ years of pertinent nuclear quality or related experience.NQA-1 certified auditor credentials.Certified in ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Systems (desired).5+ years of demonstrated, applicable experience in the nuclear quality prehensive knowledge, understanding and ability to apply 10CFR50 App B,10CFR21, ASME NQA-1 and CSA N286-12 requirements to nuclear manufacturing programs.Experience in Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD).Certified ASME NQA-1 auditor with demonstrated audit experience.Good knowledge, insight, and experience in implementing and/or managing within a rigorous Product Documentation Management System.
