  Preschool+ is a new program designed to meet the needs of children, ages 3-5 years old, who currently have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and who could benefit from additional supports provided by Georgetown Hill while in our care.
  We need qualified Lead & Assistant Teachers to join our Preschool+ program at our newest campus in Rockville.Check out of campus; Congressional Plaza - located in Rockville (metro accessible)
  The payrate for this position is as follows:
  • $60K annually and up for qualified and experienced Lead Teachers
  • $55K annually and up for qualified and experienced Assistant TeachersAvailable positions are full time, year-round, and the hours are 8am - 5pm. Your role will be to meet our students' individual needs and foster each child's independence in a family-like environment of trust and warmth.

      What You Will Do:
      • Provide for the educational needs and interests of preschool children using a creative and age-appropriate curriculum
      • Supervision of preschool children to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all students
      • Support the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of each child in the classroom
      • Demonstrate effective leadership among the classroom team
      • Demonstrate effective communication skills and positive interpersonal relations with children, families, colleagues, and community

        Requirements:Our ideal candidates must have 2 plus years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:
        • Lead candidates must have at least a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education (ECE), Early Childhood Special Ed., Elem. Education, Elem. Special Ed. - A Master's Degree is preferred.
        • Assistant Candidates must have 90-hour preschool credentials, some experience in early, childhood classroom; special education experience is preferred
        • Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and instructional strategies
        • Strong knowledge of MSDE regulations
        • A personal demeanor that is warm, friendly, and cool-tempered
        • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and reading skills
        • Extremely reliable in attendance and punctuality
        • Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
        • Team-oriented and willing to work with others
        • Proficient technological skills including Microsoft Office is a plusPer Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all applicants must submit to and successfully pass a state and federal background check as a contingency of employment. Applicants for our federal center campuses must receive GSA-security clearance through a government background screening.
