Marketing at Capital BankThe Marketing team tells the Capital Bank story, determines messaging and positioning, and translates our reimagined products and features into tangible customer benefits. Our marketers-across Content, PMM, Lifecycle, and Acquisitions-are responsible for acquiring new customers and have a deep understanding of the business. We're a highly cross-functional team and partner most closely with the Product, Sales, and Creative teams to help our prospects and customers grasp how we can help them reach their full potential.
Position PurposeAs the VP Product Marketing Lead - Commercial Banking, you'll be responsible for overseeing marketing for Capital Bank's Commercial Banking Business. You'll be the expert in advising how to grow our customer portfolio, deposit accounts, treasury management, lending, and digital offerings through go-to-market strategies and bundled solutions, as well as identifying new opportunities to expand our market share through ongoing competitive and industry research.
This is a Product Marketing role which demands strategic thinking and hands-on execution in partnership with cross-functional teams. You will ensure product success by deeply understanding and consistently championing the needs of the customer as a representative voice in all discussions and decisions, driving the commercial readiness and helping product achieve business goals.
This highly visible position will give you the chance to explore complex problems, gain insight into strategic priorities that are forefront in the minds of the executive leadership team, and design and implement solutions to deliver real, sustainable impact.
Your day to day:

  • Shape product narratives and customer strategies, including audience definition, end-to-end product positioning, and comms architecture
  • Develop effective go-to-market plans and growth strategies for depository, treasury, and lending products, marketing to businesses across a variety of verticals
  • Produce best-in-class product communications, from marketing campaigns to sales marketing collateral
  • Work closely with product teams, business bankers, and commercial lenders to set strategy for their regions and verticals, and support marketing efforts
  • Drive smart return on investment driven marketing strategies and manage growth at scale.
  • Work among high-performance bankers, designers and product managers in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, hybrid environment
  • Articulate and deliver on the strategy for your product areas
    Education and Experience Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
    • 7+ years demonstrated experience in product marketing with a focus on B2B or B2B2C marketing.
    • Experience working within the financial services or banking industry
