Job Summary:

We are seeking a Proposal Writer to join the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG). The Proposal Writer focuses on coordinating and developing written responses to RFPs received from our commercial, public and government program clients. The Proposal Writer will develop responses that showcase the outstanding care-model provided by MAPMG physicians.

Responsibilities:

Act as the lead contact between the MAPMG and Kaiser Foundation Family health plan for all proposal requests / requests for information from external clients and agencies

Work with physician and administrative leaders, research scientists and technical staff to collect information that is used to respond to questions about the care provided by MAPMG

Leverage previously developed responses and existing documentation to ensure that responses are consistent

Produce quality responses to RFPs by following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone

Continuously take into consideration how information will be perceived by the recipient organization by thinking about trends in the marketplace, how Kaiser Permanente compares to other health plans, and the goal of the requestor

Work with MAPMG executive leadership to obtain approvals and submit completed proposal to the requester

Partner closely with the National Kaiser Permanente Proposal team to ensure responses are writing in a consistent voice

Support MAPMG's Physician Ambassador program by managing content on internal website and updating externally facing collateral

Collaborate with subject matter experts of "hot topic" request areas to stay abreast of process / clinical criteria changes in their respective departments

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field is required

Minimum of three (3) years of health care administration experience in health plan or hospital setting

Experience responding to technical RFPs or requests from government agencies

Good time and project management skills

Excellent writing, organizational, communication and planning skills

Strong attention to detail

Ability to manage deadlines efficiently
