Together, we serve approximately 800,000 Kaiser Permanente members in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia at 34 area medical centers, plus several community hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.Job Summary:We are seeking a Proposal Writer to join the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG). The Proposal Writer focuses on coordinating and developing written responses to RFPs received from our commercial, public and government program clients. The Proposal Writer will develop responses that showcase the outstanding care-model provided by MAPMG physicians.Responsibilities:Act as the lead contact between the MAPMG and Kaiser Foundation Family health plan for all proposal requests / requests for information from external clients and agenciesWork with physician and administrative leaders, research scientists and technical staff to collect information that is used to respond to questions about the care provided by MAPMGLeverage previously developed responses and existing documentation to ensure that responses are consistentProduce quality responses to RFPs by following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and toneContinuously take into consideration how information will be perceived by the recipient organization by thinking about trends in the marketplace, how Kaiser Permanente compares to other health plans, and the goal of the requestorWork with MAPMG executive leadership to obtain approvals and submit completed proposal to the requesterPartner closely with the National Kaiser Permanente Proposal team to ensure responses are writing in a consistent voiceSupport MAPMG's Physician Ambassador program by managing content on internal website and updating externally facing collateralCollaborate with subject matter experts of "hot topic"-- - request areas to stay abreast of process / clinical criteria changes in their respective departmentsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in related field is requiredMinimum of three (3) years of health care administration experience in health plan or hospital settingExperience responding to technical RFPs or requests from government agenciesGood time and project management skillsExcellent writing, organizational, communication and planning skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to manage deadlines efficientlyCompetitive Benefits:Competitive compensation packageComprehensive benefits including 100% employer-funded medical and dental insurance premiums for employees and familiesGreat work/life balanceGenerous paid time offMaternity and parental leavePension plan and 401(k) retirement planLife insurance, and short-term disability and long-term disability coverageEducation reimbursementEquity, Inclusion, and Diversity:MAPMG continuously works to identify and mitigate healthcare inequities, and that starts with providing an inclusive, supportive environment for our employes.
