Job Description:

General Description:The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the National NSSLHA team, programs, members, chapters, and communications of National NSSLHA. Priority is placed on efficient communication, organization, and coordination of work necessary to meet the objectives in the National NSSLHA strategic plan.B. Responsibilities:Manage member services and respond promptly to telephone, email, and social media contacts and perform timely updates and adjustments to member accounts.Maintain procedures and processes for supporting online communities, chapter affiliations, and member service.Prepare social media, membership, and program data analytics reports.Prepare and process requisitions and expenses through the accounting system.Prepare/enhance presentations, spreadsheets, letters, certificates, and other documents.Coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings.Set up filing systems and maintaining records on internal network.Provide a positive experience and professional service to external and internal National NSSLHA members and ASHA customers.Investigate inquiries thoroughly, apply initiative and creativity in troubleshooting and resolving problems, and report service trends to supervisors and the team.Maintain up-to-date understanding of policies and procedures and a wide range of organizational knowledge to promote National NSSLHA membership, programs, and activities.Apply knowledge of National NSSLHA and ASHAs functional areas to appropriately direct inquiries within the National Office, as required.C. Freedom to Act:The position reports directly to the Senior Director, NSSLHA. The incumbent is expected to plan and carry out work activities in close collaboration with other NSSLHA team members. Broad latitude is given to the position to determine approaches, procedures, and methodologies for accomplishing the work. Work receives administrative and/or peer review from the Senior Director, NSSLHA and/or unit staff. Specific guidance and review may be required on special or unusual problems.E. Qualifications - Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills:Knowledge and skills typically acquired through:Associates or bachelors degree or equivalent experience2-4 years administrative experienceScope and depth of technical skills/knowledge:Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint), netFORUM, SalesForce, Google Docs, WuFoo, online communities (i.e., HigherLogic), and social media managing software (i.e., SproutSocial)Excellent communication skills.Excellent typing, proofreading, spelling, and grammar skills.Experience using social media is a plus.Scope and depth of nontechnical skills/knowledge:Ability to independently prioritize work to meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal and teamwork skillsStrong organizational and skillsStrong communication skillsAnalytical and detail orientedAbility to successfully coordinate a projectKnowledge of general office operation proceduresAbility to work on multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to take initiative and work both collaboratively and independentlyExercise maturity, judgment, tact, and diplomacy during interactions with membersHave a proven track record of reliabilityPossess critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize assignmentsF.
