Job Description Job Description Benefits: Competitive salary Flexible schedule Training & development Senior Accountant (Mental Health / DDA) Part-Time 25 Hours/Week Positive Pathways Owings Mills, MD In-Office | Flexible Schedule Pay: $31$42 per hour (based on experience) Job Type: Part-time (25 hours per week) Schedule: Flexible days and hours within an in-office setting Job Description Positive Pathways is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with Mental Health and/or DDA provider experience to support the day-to-day accounting operations of our organization. This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and completing required DDA, state, federal, and grant-related reporting. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations, including AP, payroll coordination, and reconciliations Prepare financial statements for the CEO and Board Record journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts in SAGE300 Assist the CEO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Prepare and submit required DDA and regulatory reports Reconcile billing and payments within the LTSS and iCare systems Prepare annual filings including 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, 1095-C, Form 5500, and Form 990 Work with auditors to support annual audits and maintain strong internal controls Qualifications (Required) Bachelors degree in Accounting 35 years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP Required experience as a Senior Accountant in a Mental Health and/or DDA provider setting Hands-on experience with DDA, iCare, and the LTSS billing system Proficiency with SAGE300 Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail Ability to meet deadlines while working a flexible schedule Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
