Job Description:

KGO is expanding and in search of a skilled Operations Manager to join the leadership team in its Rockville Office. The OM will be involved in all areas of the firm, with a particular focus on overseeing and helping to set strategy for marketing, technology, finance, accounting, and human resources. KGO is a 15-person firm that was established to provide an aggressive, passionate defense to those people that find themselves charged with a traffic or criminal offense. The OM will report directly to the Partnership, helping to make important policy decisions while developing and implementing operational policies and procedures. The OM is a full-time exempt position, and will oversee staff implementing specific areas (marketing, accounting, etc.).
Experience in accounting, marketing, operations, and technology suggested.

Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing
- - - - - - -Monitor the Firm's marketing campaigns to maximize ROI
- - - - - - -Relay information on campaign effectiveness to the Firm's Marketing Director and Partnership so that changes can be implemented to maximize ROI
- - - - - - -Regularly communicate with the Firm's Partnership on budget, ROI, growth opportunities, and needs of the marketing department
Technology
- - - - - - -Examine technology currently in place and new technology as it becomes available to develop ways to improve staff efficiency, increase client engagement, and cut labor costs
- - - - - - -Monitor the technical needs of the firm and aid in purchasing new equipment and software
- - - - - - -Ensure the staff and attorneys are properly trained, and provide assistance where needed
- - - - - - -Develop firm strategy to ensure the most efficient use of technology
Finance
- - - - - - -Examine Financial data to improve profitability including managing and review vendor and product pricing
- - - - - - -Ensure the Firm is using best accounting practices
- - - - - - -Look for and implement process improvements
Strategy
- - - - - - -Participate in strategic planning from an operational perspective, helping the firm reach the highest production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
- - - - - - -Create and implement action plans based on approved strategy
- - - - - - -Design, manage, and implement audits across the firm to ensure highest ROI and impact
Accounting
- - - - - - -Monitor and manage staff to ensure to ensure accuracy and task completion in all areas of accounting
- - - - - - -Run bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to monitor the revenue across various practice areas
Human Resources
- - - - - - -Work closely with the Firm's Partners to set and implement policies, procedures, and systems, and create and carry out implementation plans
- - - - - - -Develop firm recruitment systems to hire new staff and attorneys
- - - - - - -Develop relationships with law schools, local high schools, community organizations, etc. to establish and cultivate pipelines for top talent
