Description. The Cash Application Specialist is a key role in the Accounts Receivable team. Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Receivable, this non-supervisory position is responsible for daily cash applications of customer accounts, reconciliations, as well as processing of refunds and other adjustments.. Roles and Responsibilities. Ensures that cash is applied in a time sensitive manner and looks for ways for continuous improvement.. Performs customer account and daily cash receipts reconciliations.. Download, review, reconcile and post all lockbox payments on a daily basis.. Works closely with Credit & Collections and Customer Service teams to proactively resolve unidentified, on account payments and release order holds.. Collaborates with A/R, Customer Service, and Strategic Customer Development Managers to identify, analyze and resolve pain points for delinquent accounts. Escalates issues as required.. Adheres to Global Finance Cultural Statement & Operating Principles.. Must be able to function effectively in a high paced, high demand environment.. Participate in and support technology enhancement projects.. Performs other duties as assigned.. Basic Qualifications. Associates degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.. 3+ years of Cash Application experience and Account Reconciliation experience.. Demonstrated experience with lock box automation and bank reconciliation.. Understanding of Order to Cash processes. ERP experience with mid to large financial applications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Preferred Qualifications. Experience performing AR/Cash Application functions for a global organization. General understanding of accounting principles and financial controls. Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Results driven with demonstrated successful outcomes. Ability and desire to work well with diverse employees and customers in a cooperative and friendly manner.
