About The Job
Sandy Spring Bank is currently recruiting for a Senior Treasury
Management Sales Officer in the Treasury Management Department. If
you are the chosen candidate, you will be responsible for
prospecting and developing larger opportunities to include but not
limited to new loan referrals, deposit business and fee income,
collectively sufficient to meet and exceed assigned goals
reflective of a senior position as well as administrative functions
related to sales activity, account maintenance and assisting
management with functions related to product management, marketing,
training and compliance.
Areas of focus:
* Primarily responsible for developing loan referrals, deposit
business and sales of treasury management products and services to
meet clearly defined sales and income goals.Will gather information
from the client or prospect to prepare a proposal for appropriate
products and/or services that are beneficial to the client.
* Prepare professional sales presentations recommending products
and services that are of value to the client/prospect and meets
with the client/prospect to review the proposal and close the
business.Support Relationship Managers and branch personnel in
their business development efforts to obtain new business and
enhance existing client relationships. Make joint client calls with
Bank partners and outbound business development calls, as
required.Refer other cross-sell opportunities to the appropriate
* Oversee completion and accuracy of documentation, including
required signatures, and implementation of products and services
sold.Complete required specification sheets for services and
account analyses accurately, and in a timely fashion, allowing
sufficient lead time for an orderly implementation. Complete
initial internal review and follow-up to ensure services are
working as intended and account analysis charges are correct.
* Prepare all required reports on calls, sales results, and
expenses in a timely manner.Review account analysis and other
system reports as needed and requested.Assist Department Manager
with special projects related to sales development, product
management, marketing, training and compliance as requested.
* Work requires a professional level of knowledge equivalent to a
bachelor s degree in a banking related field and a minimum of 5
years of related treasury management experience to include sales
experience.Demonstrated familiarity with treasury management,
commercial banking services and the relevant principles and issues
is necessary.CTP/CCM credentials preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to profitably sell treasury management
services to clients and prospects.Ability to source and develop new
business from self-initiated prospects. Excellent organizational
skills and attention to detail are required.
* Advanced problem solving skills are needed to find solutions to
problems that are technically complex and require collection,
interpretation and analysis of data from diverse sources.
* Work is under minimal supervision where the work requires
independent judgment in the interpretation of existing policies and
procedures and the selection of alternative procedures and work

familiarity with utilizing systems for troubleshooting and problem
